Claudio Chiellini is an Italian retired professional footballer who was born on 4 August 1974 in Pisa, Italy. He played as a center-back and his career started with the youth team of Pisa in 1992. He went on to play for several Italian teams including Livorno, Grosseto, and Latina. In 2000, he joined Juventus and played an integral role in their defense for over a decade.
Chiellini won several trophies with Juventus including nine Serie A titles, four Coppa Italia trophies, and five Supercoppa Italiana titles. He was also a regular member of the Italian national team and played in the UEFA European Championship and FIFA World Cup. Throughout his career, Chiellini was known for his physical strength, tenacity, and leadership qualities.
After announcing his retirement in 2021, Chiellini immediately took on a new role as Juventus' technical coordinator in charge of the club's youth teams. He is regarded as one of the greatest defenders of his generation in Italy.
